Abstract

My curriculum unit, “Design, Build, Animate,” represents a fundamental shift from traditional
science education models that rely heavily on theoretical instruction and passive learning. I chose this unit title as this enhanced hands-on approach directly addresses the growing disconnect between classroom learning and real-world application that has long plagued STEM education in the San Carlos Apache Tribe.
