Data Navigation Overview Online Training

Course Description: The Data Navigation Overview Training provides high-level information for a broad set of NAU functional areas.  Content focuses on “hot topics” – those areas where functional offices field the most questions.  An overview of NAU’s new Data Governance Initiative is provided, and insight into valuable reports from the Budget Office, the Comptroller’s Office, Cline Library, Human Resources, and Strategic Planning, Institutional Research, & Analytics (SPIRA) is also provided. This training does not provide in-depth content about each of these areas, but instead provides a broad overview of available data and resources.  The session is intended for newer employees, or those who have an interest in broadening their understanding of data and resources at NAU.

Tableau Data Usage and Access Training

Course Description:  The Tableau Data Usage and Access Training provides employees with information on how Tableau Dashboards are utilized at NAU.  The training covers the purpose of NAU Tableau Dashboards, information regarding privacy, security, and sharing of data, as well as the organization of dashboard projects.  Users will also learn how to request and gain access to the dashboards.  This training is required of all employees who wish to gain access to NAU’s Tableau dashboard environment.
