Manager’s Committee and Partner’s Group

CPCESU Manager’s Committee is a self-selecting, inclusive group of any land management and resource management personnel located on the Colorado Plateau who are part of one of the federal partner agencies. Managers could be unit managers, resource (natural and cultural) managers, key resource scientists, etc. This group meets on the first day of the Biennial Conference of Research on the Colorado Plateau.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and guidance on science priorities
  • Help maintain independence and objectivity of research projects –  Review annual work plans
  • Review strategic work plan

Assist in evaluating CESU performance

Partner’s Group

The group consists of one representative of the Host University, each of the thirty non-federal partner institutions, and one representative of each of the ten federal partner agencies. Partners are expected to:

  • Set policies and procedures for the operation of the Colorado Plateau CESU in accordance with the objectives of the CESU Network as outlined in CESU objectives
    the policies and guidelines set down by the CESU National Coordinating Council and in accordance with the CESU Agreement signed June 1999
  • Ensure that the Colorado Plateau CESU promotes and adheres to the CESU objectives
  • Set up administrative procedures with a handbook
  • Prepare a Mission Statement which identifies research, technical assistance, education and other services that it is especially qualified to provide
  • Develop an Annual Plan
  • Develop a multi-year Strategic Plan
  • Identify stakeholders/users/clients and define how the CESU will involve them (state agencies, communities, the public, environmental groups, public schools, etc.)
  • Define an Evaluation and Reporting Plan
