Discounted triple room

Triple means savings

For the 2026–27 academic year, discounted triple rooms are available and offer a $1638 discount on the academic year double room rate for traditional communities. The Honors College Campus Living Community offers a $1513 discount on the academic year double room rate. The discount will be reflected as half of the discount off fall rent and half of the discount off spring rent.

Tips for living with two roommates Accordion Closed

To get your relationship off to a great start, email your roommates now to introduce yourself and start a conversation before moving to campus. Here are some roommate tips from students who have lived in discounted triples:

  • If travel permits, bring the most essential items at first. Plan for one season at a time—you won’t need your snowboard or winter clothes in August!
  • Reach out to your roommates and discuss who is bringing what for the room so you don’t duplicate large items such as a TV, microwave, gaming system, etc.
  • Coordinate when you will arrive on campus with your roommates and talk to each other before completely unpacking and arranging the room; make rooming decisions together.
  • Get creative with your space. Bring storage drawers or boxes that fit under the bed. Use shelving units or stacking bins to use vertical space. Hang a shoe or sweater organizer in the closet to fit more items.
  • Communicate with your roommates! Be sure to complete your roommate agreement. Respect differences and be open about concerns with your roommates. Talk to them directly about issues as they come up. Don’t keep things inside and let them build up.
  • Get to know your Community Assistant (CA). They can help you adjust to college, attend activities to get involved, and help you address any concerns.
  • Go into the experience with a positive attitude, and you’ll have a positive experience. Have fun! You have not one, but two people to study, socialize, and become friends with. Make the most of it!

What happens if one of my roommates moves out? Accordion Closed

Your room remains a discounted triple room, and all furniture will stay in the room. A new roommate may be assigned to your room. While assigned to the discounted triple room, you will continue to pay the reduced rent rate.

Is the discounted triple for the full academic year? Accordion Closed

Yes, your assignment is for the entire academic year. If you later request to move to a different room type and space is available at that point, your rent would adjust to the rent rate of that room type and be prorated as of the date of your move.
