Smart Technology Taxonomy and Evaluation for Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG)

AZTrans staff, along with colleagues at the University of Arizona and Arizona State University, have entered into a partnership with MAG to develop a taxonomy of Smart Region technologies and assist with independent evaluations of select Smart Region technology deployments.  Over the next several years, AZTrans faculty and students will work with MAG and the other partners to scope and evaluate the effectiveness of various Smart technologies in the MAG region.

AZTrans Exhibit at STEM Celebration hosted during Arizona Diamondbacks Game

AZTrans operated an exhibit at a STEM celebration event at an Arizona Diamondbacks game in July 2019. The STEM-focused event was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. AZTrans Exhibit at the 2019 Flagstaff STEM Celebration

AZTrans operated an exhibit at the 2019 Flagstaff STEM Celebration, which was held on March 11th, 2019 at the NAU Walkup Skydome. Students from all 28 Flagstaff K-12 schools were invited, and hundreds attended the event. AZTrans In-Classroom K-8 Transportation Engineering Outreach Event at Sinagua Middle School

AZTrans faculty Brendan Russo and undergraduate research assistant Emmanuel James presented an introduction to transportation engineering to two classes of 7th and 8th grade students (~60 students total) at Sinagua Middle School in Flagstaff, AZ on October 19th, 2018. AZTrans Exhibit at the 2018 NAU Science and Engineering Day

AZTrans operated an exhibit at the 2018 NAU Science and Engineering Day (which was part of the Flagstaff Festival of Science) entitled “Behind the Scenes: How Our Roadways are Designed & Operated” on Saturday, September 29th, 2018. AZTrans Exhibit at the 2018 ACTI Arizona Innovation Day

AZTrans operated an exhibit at the 2018 Arizona Council for Transportation Innovation (ACTI) Arizona Innovation Day on September 25th, 2018.
