Armando Martinez, a current AZTrans undergraduate student researcher, was recently selected to participate in the Transportation Research Board’s Minority Student Fellowship Program during the Annual Meeting in January 2023. Armando is mentored by AZTrans faculty Steven Gehrke and Brendan Russo.

AZTrans operated an exhibit at a STEM celebration event at an Arizona Diamondbacks game in July 2019. The STEM-focused event was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. AZTrans operated an exhibit at the 2019 Flagstaff STEM Celebration, which was held on March 11th, 2019 at the NAU Walkup Skydome. Students from all 28 Flagstaff K-12 schools were invited, and hundreds attended the event.
