Committees

Committees are led by an ASNAU Senator, Staff member, or Executive. We have a range of committees to join and support. Contact ASNAU@nau.edu for more information.

Committee Highlights

Advocacy Committee​

• Created the Student Issue Network to gather student’s concerns or issues
• Held tabling events to promote the committee & engage with students​

Women’s Health Committee

• Installed over 200 menstrual product dispensers in the University Union,  Du Bois Center, & various academic building restrooms
• Held a Power Hour intended for female and female-identifying students

Professional Development Committee

• Hosted over 30 Flagstaff employers and NAU partners to promote student employment
• Held a Graduate School Exploration Mixer for over 50 students

Appropriations Committee

• Wrote and deliberated on over 145 Senate bills
• Reimbursed over $50,000 to approximately 120 clubs & individuals

Legislative Committee

• Reviewed, edited, and amended 28 ASNAU By-laws
• Restructured the ASNAU Election Code

Community Engagement Committee

• Held an ASNAU Service Day to collect trash around campus
• Held a virtual town hall with Secretary of State, Katie Hobbs
