The Associated Students of Northern Arizona University (ASNAU) serves to support, advocate, and vocalize the needs of students while creating an atmosphere that encourages student input and involvement.
Mission Statement
The primary purpose of ASNAU is to serve NAU as the representative student voice at the campus, local, state, and national levels. We are to become informed on every issue concerning Northern Arizona University and communicate that knowledge and information to the students.
To accomplish this, we must provide every opportunity for students to have their opinions heard by creating an atmosphere that seeks student input and student involvement. As the representative student body, we seek to promote NAU and its activities including but not limited to: Academics, Athletics, Special Events, Community Relations, and Student Activities.

Hello Lumberjacks!
Welcome to Northern Arizona University!
This is your new home for the next chapter of your life. You’ve joined a community that is here to support you, challenge you, and help you grow. NAU is full of opportunities: student organizations, on-campus jobs, internships, research opportunities, and events that offer hands-on experience. These experiences can shape your future, help you discover your passions, and even allow you to create opportunities for others. You’ll find a whole network here ready to help you thrive.
As your Student Body President for the Associated Students of Northern Arizona University (ASNAU), I’m excited to welcome you to the Lumberjack community. I’m here to make sure your voice is heard and that you have access to opportunities that make your time here a success. I encourage you to explore everything that NAU has to offer, like joining a club, studying abroad, attending events, and taking advantage of leadership and service opportunities. We have student workers, staff, and departments across campus here to help you find the right extracurricular activity or program for you.
As your student government, ASNAU is a resource for your clubs and you as an individual. We are honored to be your voice and main connection to administration, the Flagstaff community, Arizona Board of Regents, and many other entities. Additionally, we are funded by the 23 Fee, which allows us to provide free services to the student body!
Some of these services include:
- Free legal counsel
- Club and individual funding through reimbursements
- Free advertising services (such as help creating promotional flyers)
- Lumberjack Concert Series
- ASNAU Homecoming Carnival
- ASNAU Care Corner
- And much more!
Most importantly, we want to hear from you. If you have ideas, questions, or concerns about student life, our team is here for you.
