Requesting policy exceptions
- Review the information outlining the policy exceptions handled by the ASC. If the policy in question is not adjudicated through another channel, e-mail AcademicStandards@nau.edu, and state the policy for which you are requesting an exception.
- Briefly explain any extenuating circumstances prohibiting your ability to adhere to university policy. You need to attach official documentation.
- Deadlines for submission:
- The ASC meets once a month, and evaluates requests for exceptions based upon the written record provided.
- Exception requests and supporting documentation must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M. on the dates below for consideration in the next listed meeting:
- September 20, 2019
- October 18, 2019
- January 24, 2020
- February 7, 2020
- February 21, 2020
- March 20, 2020
- Students are notified of the ASC’s decision via e-mail approximately twelve (12) business days after the submission deadline.
