Who we are
Academic Affairs consists of seven discipline-based colleges, together with the University Honors College, Graduate College, the Center for International Education, Cline Library, and the Office of the Registrar.
Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
The Vice Provost for Academic Affairs oversees undergraduate study, comprised of programs and curricula designed to help students develop essential skills in communication, critical thinking, and quantitative and scientific reasoning.
Vice Provost for Academic Personnel
The Vice Provost for Academic Personnel serves as the “human resources” arm for academic faculty and staff. This unit also is responsible for faculty performance reviews, the granting of tenure, and new faculty recruitment.
The Vice Provost for Teaching, Learning Design & Assessment
The Vice Provost for Teaching, Learning Design & Assessment oversees instructional and academic program planning, institutional accreditation, curriculum and assessment, and innovation in the use of technology.
Center for International Education
The Center for International Education provides institutional leadership in transforming NAU into a global campus. This unit supports academic departments in ensuring that students are prepared to be globally competent and provides direct support to faculty in securing international teaching and research opportunities.
Cline Library provides access to research resources such as databases, books, media, study areas, technology, archives, and other tools for student success.
The Honors College
The Honors College prepares academically motivated students for a global and changing society by cultivating creative problem solving abilities and communication skills through a rigorous, personalized program of study.
The Office of the Registrar
The Office of the Registrar manages student academic records and course enrollments and provides a wide range of services for academic departments and faculty.
