The Vice Provost for Teaching, Learning Design and Assessment (VP-TLDA) works in collaboration with academic leaders to provide leadership, coordination and support for the teaching and learning mission of NAU. The units, programs, and processes in the VP-TLDA area advance excellence in student learning by providing students and faculty with opportunities and resources that promote student academic success.
The VP-TLDA oversees a range of faculty support programs including e-Learning Center, Faculty Professional Development Program, First Year Learning Initiative, and the Office of Curriculum, Learning Design, and Academic Assessment. The VP-TLDA units also provide support for academic program review, curriculum, learning design, assessment, transfer articulation, and institutional accreditation. In addition, the Liberal Studies Program, First Year Seminar Program, Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, ROTC – Air Force and ROTC – Army are housed in this area. The Vice Provost also serves as the liaison to NAU’s accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission.
