New student Onboarding is a crucial step in your NAU educational journey. It’s a chance to familiarize yourself with campus resources and support while building valuable connections that will last throughout your academic career. You’ll also have the chance to get all your questions answered and hear from other students who have been in your shoes.

Overview

NAU Onboarding begins with students gaining the skills necessary for a successful transition. This will be provided in online modules and webinars. For students beginning in the fall semester, Welcome Week events will be the final step in the Onboarding experience.

Onboarding modules

These online modules are designed to provide you with important information to prepare you for all aspects of life as a Lumberjack. Complete onboarding on your time from a computer, your phone, or other mobile device. The topics covered are essential for student success and all modules should be completed prior to arriving on campus.

Family Onboarding

Our Lumberjack Family Chats, hosted by NAU Family Engagement, will introduce you to NAU staff who will answer your questions about your student’s college journey as a Lumberjack. Over the summer, we invite you to join us for three Lumberjack Family Chats, each focused on essential topics related to your Lumberjack’s success.

Welcome Week

NAU Welcome Week, hosted at the start of the fall semester, helps students get connected at NAU. All Lumberjacks can discover different ways to become a part of the campus community through a wide range of activities that kick off at the start of each fall semester.
