Volunteer Opportunities

SAC is proud to share Mountain Campus volunteer opportunities to help support our community. Sign up for one or all of these efforts, either on your own or get your coworkers involved and volunteer together. And the best part–besides the joy of giving back–is that you don’t need to use your 16 hours of Staff community engagement time for these opportunities. You can save those hours for off-campus activities which we will share more of soon.

26th Annual Community Needs Drive

Benefitting: Louie’s Cupboard, NAU CIE Students, Lumberjack CARE Center, Flagstaff Shelter Services and Flagstaff Catholic Charities

October 7th through November 3rd, 2026

Donation Needs

Non-perishable food items

Vegetarian and vegan soups, gluten-free foods, healthy cereals, proteins such as canned chicken and tuna, can openers, etc.

New or gently used warm clothing for all ages

Coats, sweatpants, socks, hats, scarves, mittens, etc.

Personal care items

Shampoo/conditioner, soap, toothbrush/toothpaste, razors, deodorant, feminine hygiene, etc.

How to Donate

Donation boxes are located in academic and administrative buildings throughout campus. Boxes will be distributed to buildings on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 and donations will be gathered and sorted on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

How to Volunteer

We need help to distribute and collect items!

If you see one of our boxes FULL before 11/4, please let us know!

Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra

Volunteer with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra

The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra regularly welcomes volunteers to assist with concert operations and patron services. Volunteers help create a welcoming experience for audience members while supporting one of Northern Arizona’s premier arts organizations.

Opportunities may include:

Ticket scanning
Program distribution
Event support

Many performances take place at Ardrey Auditorium on the NAU campus, making this a convenient way for staff to support the arts while engaging with the broader Flagstaff community.
