Volunteer Opportunities

SAC is proud to share Mountain Campus volunteer opportunities to help support our community. Sign up for one or all of these efforts, either on your own or get your coworkers involved and volunteer together. And the best part–besides the joy of giving back–is that you don’t need to use your 16 hours of community engagement time for these opportunities. You can save those hours for off-campus activities which we will share more of soon.

Looking for a meaningful way to give back to our community?

The SAC Service and Volunteer Engagement Committee is hosting a volunteer event this month in partnership with the City of Flagstaff PROSE and would love your support.

Volunteer Opportunity: SAC Volunteer Day at Picture Canyon
Date/Time: Wednesday, July 22, 2026, 7:00-10:00am
Location: Picture Canyon Trailhead: 3920 N El Paso Rd
Volunteer Duties: Join us for an invasive weed removal and reseeding project. Help manage invasive weeds at Picture Canyon, to keep it the beautiful place that it is! Learn about invasive weeds, learn to identify them and the best ways to remove them, and help us spread native grass/flower seed to crowd out the invasives. Bring comfortable shoes, long pants, long sleeves, a hat, and sunblock. Gloves and tools are provided. This is a great way to support our local community, connect with others, and make a positive impact.
