Madison Ledgerwood
Madison Ledgerwood was raised in the southwest which nurtured her love for the land, and of all species. She relocated to Flagstaff in 2010. She earned her degree in Environmental Studies, and engaged with the community around the intersection of social and environmental issues. She then earned her MA in Sustainable Communities to more deeply understand what diverse experiences and understandings led and sustained individuals in creating a better world. She now co-coordinates Community and University Public Inquiry, an interdisciplinary community-based research program, and is an AmeriCorps VISTA in the Rethink Possible Program. Her STEM VISTA position cultivates her dreams as she has the opportunity to design curriculum, connect to volunteers in diverse fields, and expand the reach of a program that engages students around the “big questions” of college, such as what they want to major in and contribute to the world. Fun fact: Madison loves to dance.
