Dr. Amy Smith
Amy L. Smith grew up in rural Montana and came to Northern Arizona University to complete her undergraduate work. Falling in love with Flagstaff and making it home, Amy will have earned her B.S. in Environmental Science / Biology, M.Ed. in Secondary Science Education, and Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from NAU. Amy taught in the Flagstaff Unified School District for nearly 15 years before teaching Neurobiology for the First Year Seminar program at NAU and now various courses for the Rethink Possible program. Amy is a former Director of the Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival and still enjoys a great film. Other hobbies include tie-dyeing, Zentangle, hiking with her dogs, traveling around the world, and just hanging out with her twins. Amy has earned her B.S. in Environmental Science / Biology, M.Ed. in Secondary Science Education, and Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction from NAU.
