Impact and opportunities

Research at NAU advances solutions to pressing challenges in human health, the environment, technology, and within our communities while directly engaging students in the process of discovery. Through a strong teacher‑scholar model, NAU integrates research and education, which enables students to gain hands-on experience and prepares them to enter the workforce. NAU research generates new knowledge, informs policy and practice, strengthens partnerships with industry and government, and contributes to economic development and societal well-being inside and outside of the state
