Find advising resources for NAU’s Mechanical Engineering Department

Students in NAU’s Mechanical Engineering Department have advisors to help guide them. If you need help with your schedule, course selection, have transfer credit questions, or any other need, you’re encouraged to meet with your advisor at Northern Arizona University to ensure you’re on the right track.

Undergraduate students

Please refer to your degree program’s progression plan and the prerequisites of specific courses listed in the university catalog to ensure that you’re staying on track for a timely graduation. For help with other issues, such as transferring credits or connecting with the Registrar, please refer to other advising resources.

First-year students

  • All first-year students are advised by the Gateway Student Success Center.

Continuing students

  • Continuing students should connect with the college advisor assigned to their specific major.

Graduate students

The programs of study for our graduate degree programs provide details on university-wide and specific degree requirements, which graduate students are responsible for knowing.

Graduate students should connect with their research advisor for questions on their course of study, course selection, and research milestones and progress. If a student does not yet have a research advisor, please contact Associate Chair for Graduate Programs.
