NAU researchers studying if an AI chatbot can be used for health coaching with students
NAU researchers within the Department of Health Sciences are investigating whether an AI chatbot could be used for student health coaching. Through NAU’s College of Health and Human Services, students studying in health fields coach other students, staff, and faculty through the University Nutrition and Coaching (UCAN) program. A recent research project aims to see if AI models could supplement this care approach. The research team intends to study student responses to the chatbot as a health coaching system.
