Inclusive Excellence Leadership Council
The Inclusive Excellence Leadership Council is a council formed by the Vice President of Inclusive Excellence to:
- Hold the Vice President of Inclusive Excellence accountable for fostering and enhancing an inclusive environment on campus.
- Serve as an advisory board to the Vice President for Inclusive Excellence.
- Serve as departmental liaisons to the NAU community in the implementation of the NAU strategic roadmap.
Structure and organizations
The Inclusive Excellence Leadership Council is a panel of knowledge experts who have demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence across the NAU community. Knowledge experts on the council come from throughout the NAU community to bring broad perspectives and unique experiences.
Responsibilities, expectations, and appointments
Inclusive Excellence Leadership Council members serve to provide consultation, advice and vision to the Vice President for Inclusive Excellence and Access across the NAU community. Appointments on the Council are made by senior division leadership.
Advisory Committee to the Vice President of Inclusive Excellence
The Inclusive Excellence Leadership Council members serve as departmental liaisons to the Center for Inclusive Excellence and Access to help enhance and foster an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and succeed in an ever-changing global society.
Inclusive Excellence Action Plan implementation
Council members serve as liaisons assisting academic and non-academic units in enhancing and fostering an inclusive campus environment for everyone. This year, the focus is on digital accessibility as outlined by Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which aligns with the current university website project
Inclusive Excellence Action Plan assessment and refinement
The Inclusive Excellence Leadership Council promotes institutional alignment and helps colleagues in their respective areas to create alignment with the NAU Strategic Roadmap.
