Summer recreation in Flagstaff
Northern Arizona University offers many recreational spaces, pools, and gymnasiums. With Flagstaff’s scenic summer season and great on-campus facilities, Northern Arizona University is the best place to host your next camp or conference.
Recreational Fields
South Field Complex
On the corner of Pine Knoll Drive and South Huffer Lane next to building #82. This large outdoor recreational space features:
- Two full size soccer fields
- Three multi-purpose fields
- Two beach volley ball courts
The du Bois Center Field
This small sized field is west of the du Bois Center (Building #64).
Observatory Field
Located on central campus near Reilly and Sechrist Hall, this field offers a large space for activities.
Gabaldon Field
Gabaldon field is a small field conveniently located just south of Gabaldon Hall (Building #53)
Pools
Wall Aquatic Center
The Wall Aquatic Center is one of the worlds finest high altitude swimming facilities in the world. The Wall Aquatic Center Features:
- Eight 50-meter lanes
- Two 1-meter and two 3-meter diving boards
- A shallow instruction/therapy area
- A spectator area with a capacity for 400 individuals
Gymnasiums
Union Fieldhouse (Building #30)
Located next to the University Union (Building #30), this large facility has much to offer:
- Two wood basketball courts
- Two tennis courts
- Indoor track
- Large multipurpose space
Health and Learning Center (Building #25)
MAC Gym
The MAC Gym offers:
- Two full sized basketball courts
- An indoor soccer court
- Two interchangeable volleyball courts
- Sport court flooring
- Projector and screen for movies
South Gym
The South Gym features:
- Two hard wood basketball courts
- Two interchangeable volleyball courts
- Larger recreational space
- Six badminton courts
