In urban and suburban locations, intersections are where a variety of transportation modes converge, thus leading to an increased potential for conflicts, including those between bicyclists and motor vehicles. AZTrans operated an exhibit at the 2019 NAU Science and Engineering Day (which was part of the Flagstaff Festival of Science) entitled “Behind the Scenes: How Our Roadways are Designed & Operated” on Saturday, September 21st, 2019. The transportation-focused exhibit had equipment set up to show how traffic signal systems detect vehicles and efficiently move traffic through intersections. AZTrans Exhibit at the 2019 Flagstaff STEM Celebration

AZTrans operated an exhibit at the 2019 Flagstaff STEM Celebration, which was held on March 11th, 2019 at the NAU Walkup Skydome. Students from all 28 Flagstaff K-12 schools were invited, and hundreds attended the event.
