Project 002 Description: An undergraduate student will participate in an astroinformatics project to ingest and analyze the alert stream from the ongoing Zwicky Transient Facility and forthcoming Legacy Survey of Space and Time projects. Trilling and Gowanlock lead a “broker” team that uses large datasets from all-sky surveys to carry out a range of Solar System science investigations. The student will participate in some combination of astronomy and asteroid analysis and/or cyberinfrastructure and algorithm development, depending on their experience, skills, and interests.
