On behalf of the Lumberjack Battalion, I would like to thank you for your interest in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program at Northern Arizona University. Since 1982, NAU has proudly served as a host institution for Army ROTC. For 30 years, our program has continued to provide quality officers to the Active Duty force, the Army Reserves and to the Army National Guard. Together with our partnership program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, our outstanding Cadets progress on their journey along the path of officership each year. Our Cadets have distinguished themselves as scholars, athletes and leaders. Three years ago, the Lumberjack Battalion was designated as the best battalion in our brigade, which included all ROTC programs in California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada.
Provided you meet the basic entry requirements, our team stands ready to tap your potential and fine-tune your leadership skills. Both the NAU campus in Flagstaff and ERAU Prescott campus are incredible places to continue with your higher education. Both ROTC programs are your gateway to becoming a Second Lieutenant in the Active Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard. The Army offers a variety of scholarships – from full-tuition to additional funding for room and board to allowances for books and fees – that are awarded based on merit and not financial need. The Army National Guard and Army Reserves offer the same scholarships through the Simultaneous Member Program (SMP) for those interested in serving part time. Check out our flyer to see if you qualify!
Again, thank you for your interest in Army ROTC and I look forward to meeting you.
