LTC Joshua J. Kandybowicz
Lieutenant Colonel Joshua Kandybowicz assumed duties as the Professor of Military Science of Northern Arizona University (NAU) & Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) Army ROTC on 15JUN24.
LTC Kandybowicz is a native of Phoenix, Arizona. He commissioned into the U.S. Army in 2008 from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, where he graduated Sigma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. In 2018, he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Security Studies and Intelligence from Embry Riddle, Arizona.
LTC Kandybowicz’s military education includes the Armor Officer Basic Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky, the Military Intelligence Captain’s Career Course, the Advanced Reconnaissance Course, Space Operations Course and the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS.
LTC Kandybowicz’s significant assignments include the MI MAJ Career Manager at HRC; Military Intelligence Basic Officer Leader Course (MIBOLC) Chief, Battalion Operations Officer 305th MI BN, Squadron S2, “Blackjack 2” 4-10CAV, G2 Operations Officer 2ID, Scout PLT Leader 7-10CAV.
LTC Kandybowicz has deployed two times in Operation Enduring Freedom during the Afghanistan Surge and Operation Spartan Shield to the Kingdom of Jordan.
LTC Kandybowicz’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal with Valor, Army Commendation Medal (3OLC) Army Achievement Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, Korean Defense Medal, Meritorious Unit Medal, NATO Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon (2OLC). Parachutist Badge and Combat Action Badge.
LTC Kandybowicz is married to Alisyn Kandybowicz and they have 3 kids (Jax 13, Jacy 8, and Jared 3).
