As you’re preparing to graduate high school, we’re here for you, the whole way through. From Yuma Union High School District, to Arizona Western College (AWC), and ultimately to Northern Arizona University (NAU), we’ll help you transition from high school student to college graduate and prepare you with skills for a successful career.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Yuma Union High School<\/h2>\n

Ready Now Yuma is an initiative of Yuma Union High School District and Helios Education Foundation* to ensure every student graduates prepared to succeed in college and career. Through Ready Now Yuma, students participate in a rigorous, high expectation program designed to support every student on their path to college and career success. Students are exposed to hands-on learning and real-world discussions across their courses whether math, science, language arts, or history. All assignments and activities are constructed to develop critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills\u2014all of which are in high demand by employers, colleges and our community.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Arizona Western College<\/h2>\n

Build a strong educational foundation<\/h3>\n

Arizona Western College (AWC), in collaboration with the Helios Education Foundation*, has dedicated grant funds for student scholarships to help high school students successfully transition into higher education and make college financially feasible. Qualified participants in the YES grant program can earn a $1,500 scholarship, renewable for a second year. \u00a0With a mission of transforming lives through education and partnerships to create thriving communities, AWC offers more than 100 degrees and certificates in a wide range of academic and career technical programs, as well as non-credit courses in professional development, customized training, and personal enrichment areas.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Northern Arizona University<\/h2>\n

Northern Arizona University:\u00a0NAU transfer benefits and Career Services<\/em><\/h3>\n

Students who transfer and enroll full-time at Northern Arizona University (NAU) may be eligible to receive added benefits, including the 2NAU scholarship (up to $4,000) and Jack\u2019s Transfer Award (up to $4,000 for statewide locations or up to $8,000 for Flagstaff campus students), paid internship opportunities, study abroad scholarships, and participation at professional\/research conferences.<\/p>\n
