Furthermore, there are sites that are being supported by Lipman Hearne that will require more time to be completed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOrphan pages\u201d will not be moved by WordHerd. <\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An orphan page is defined as any page that is not being linked to from another available live page. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Group of sites that are being WordHerded are increasing in efficiency and accuracy, but due to the amount of customized templates\/features in Ektron it is difficult to have a clean migration from Ektron to WordPress.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">James is working on processes to migrate these sites safely from the WordHerd network to our internal and live networks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Email and contact information is being pulled from Ektron and placed into the WordPress site.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WordHerd cannot detect \u201cbad images\u201d, and image curation will need to occur separately.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The WCM Support team will not be responsible for any content curation; they can flag issues found during the migration, but cannot replace them unless alternatives are provided in post-launch Support phase.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The menu or the website does not have to be perfect to launch; the minimum viable product received from WordHerd is superior to what Ektron provided, so any further updates can occur post-launch. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DIY sites who have made substantial progress on their site before WordHerd is complete might be able to launch prior to the WordHerd launches.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WCM Support will go over each site\u2019s menu to ensure it meets minimum acceptable quality standards for launch.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After sites launch, ITS and Marketing will address people\u2019s concerns as possible, as well as watch out for site health, alongside the Site Stewards<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ektron<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People can still log into Ektron to make updates and retrieve files as necessary until WordHerd launch is complete.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ektron and its assets will still exist for a time, but eventually they will be removed from standard navigation and public view. An archive will later become available.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Features and Tools<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">James is in charge of SiteImprove &#8211; Unit Web Coordinators and Site Stewards will receive updates. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TablePress and GravityForms access will be coming soon, ideally Menu access in the long run.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brad led the room through a quick SiteImprove tour.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contact forms access will be included in the GravityForms access.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sidebar widgets from Ektron are honored with new shortcode.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The slider galleries are honored with a new shortcode, in an attempt to preserve the Ektron Banner Feature for the time being.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some sites may have features that will not be addressed immediately &#8211; \u00a0these typically custom functions are seen as \u201cnice to haves\u201d and will need to be looked at after the dust settles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brad went over timeline plans for an \u201cIntranet,\u201d an internal site, that will be used to hold internal policies or pages that will be CAS password protected.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WCM Support will strive to further improve response times and ensure clients are aware when their work is occurring. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brad announces that he is leaving, Rye and James will step in to keep the project moving forward.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WordHerd After some complications at the beginning of the WordHerd process, we will not be meeting the August 1st deadline as cleanly as we would like.
