The Web Advisory Council (WAC) functions as an advisory body to the University IT & Data Governance Trustees and is created for the purpose of providing recommendations regarding strategic and technical direction for the NAU website and digital presence.<\/p>\n
The Council shall limit its activities to advising on matters that directly concern the digital presence of the university. The key functions of the Council are:<\/p>\n
Membership is on a voluntary basis and representative of each college, department or administrative unit is invited to participate.<\/p>\n

It is the role and sole prerogative of the Council to offer a broad perspective of oversight to the University’s digital presence by governing change, policy, compliance, and recommending change to the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Information Officer, and IT & Data Governance Trustees.<\/p>\n
Technology Services will serve the Council in three ways:<\/p>\n
Membership is on a voluntary basis and representative of each college, department or administrative unit is invited to participate.<\/p>\n
Members serve one or more years at the discretion of the department.<\/p>\n
The committee will have a chair, vice chair, and recording secretary who are elected for one-year terms by the membership.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
The committee will meet at least eight times per year. Written notices of upcoming meetings will be posted to the website.<\/p>\n
Minutes and Actions of each meeting will be kept. These notes will be maintained electronically and accessible to the University on whole.<\/p>\n
Website design and feature request recommendations and reports will be submitted to the Council. Requests will include both suggested action and justification for suggestions.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
WAC meetings take place the second Wednesday of each month from 2:00-3:00 PM.<\/p>\n\n
