- The right column is a good place to list featured pages or make short announcements.<\/li>\n
- The right column is not a good place for critical page content or large amounts of text.<\/li>\n
- Large images don’t work well in the right column. Save them for the body of the page.<\/li>\n
- Always use an H4 header for right column titles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The right column can be inserted at any position within your text editor; however, the placement may impact where the content appears for users viewing the page on a mobile device or a tablet and those using assistive technology such as a screen reader. You can customize the order in which your content appears for various layouts by alternating multiple right column sections with other blocks of content in your text editor. On a full size display, all of the content inserted into a right column shortcode appears as one column, regardless of how many instances of the right column you added. On a mobile display, the sections are broken apart according to how you inserted each right column into your text editor.<\/p>\n
How to insert a right column<\/h2>\n

- Position your cursor where you want the right column to appear (this is important for mobile view layout as well as screen readers)<\/li>\n
- From the Visual editor toolbar, select the shortcode button for right column<\/strong>. The shortcode appears in the text editor.<\/li>\n
- Insert the appropriate content between the shortcode bookends.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n <\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n \n

\n \n\n\nIf your right column isn’t behaving as you’d expect, check to be sure of these things:<\/p>\n

- All shortcode is present, including bookends and the forward slash on the closing bookend.<\/li>\n
- The content that you want in the right column is fully nested within the right column shortcode<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
