GI Bill college financing plan<\/h1>\n
Welcome to the VA section of your college financing plan. Please note Northern Arizona University cannot determine eligibility, amount of entitlements, benefit, or chapter of benefit you have earned or received. If you are unsure what benefit you are eligible for or how much you have earned, please contact the Federal VA directly to determine eligibility on their website<\/a> or call 888-442-4551. This page provides guidance on VA finances as you determine the funding in your college financing plan.<\/p>\n
Please note not all GI Bill\u00ae benefits are the same. Some benefits pay tuition directly to the institution in addition to a monthly housing allowance (MHA), while other chapters of the GI Bill\u00ae’s benefit pay a monthly stipend. Please review the appropriate section below for more information on your benefits.<\/p>\n

Chapter 33 post-9\/11 and Chapter 31 Veteran Readiness and Employment Accordion Closed<\/span><\/h4>\n <\/span>\n <\/div>\n <\/a>\n

For students utilizing Chapter 33 (post-9\/11), Chapter 33 (Fry), and Chapter 31 (Veteran Readiness and Employment), please utilize the VA website<\/a> to calculate the total tuition covered with the months of benefits you currently have or have received. Students utilizing Chapter 33 (post–9\/11) can receive a different percentage rating based on the service members’ accrued months of active duty. This percentage can vary from 50% to 100%. This means the Federal VA will pay that percentage of the institution’s in-state tuition and fee charges, books, and monthly MHA. Please make note of this while calculating the tuition, fees, and book stipend. If you are receiving a tuition-only scholarship, please deduct this first from the total. The Federal VA is considered the back-end payer from all tuition-only scholarships and\/or waivers. The GI Bill® Comparison tool<\/a> on the VA website is a very useful tool for calculating total tuition and fee coverage rates.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

For students utilizing Chapter 35, Chapter 30, and 1606, please note these benefits pay only a monthly housing allowance (MHA) while in attendance. These benefits do not pay institutions directly for tuition, fees, and books, so calculate accordingly.<\/p>\n
