The NAU Phoenix Bioscience Core\u00a0participates in the Maricopa County Trip Reduction Program. As part of the program, we are making a commitment to reduce air pollution by promoting the reduction of single occupant vehicle (SOV) trips and\/or miles to and from work\/school.<\/p>\n

There are many ways that faculty, staff, and students of the North Valley Campus can do their part to improve Arizona’s air quality while reducing traffic congestion.<\/p>\n

Share The Ride<\/strong><\/p>\n

Valley Metro provides a ride matching system for commuters to find others who are interested in sharing\u00a0 a ride to work!
\nRegister for this FREE service by logging into: https:\/\/www.sharetheride.com\/public\/Home.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n

Emergency Ride Home<\/strong>
\nIn case of emergency, this program allows alternative mode users (bike, walk, bus, carpool, vanpool) to be reimbursed for a taxi ride home.\u00a0 The user may not possess a parking permit nor exceed $40 for a taxi ride home.\u00a0 The user would be responsible to pay any dollar amount above the $40 maximum directly to the taxi driver using either cash or credit card.\u00a0 Fill out the Alternative Mode User form and submit to NorthValleyFAC@nau.edu<\/a> to participate in the Guaranteed Ride Home program.<\/p>\n

Public Transportation<\/strong>
\nValley Metro also provides safe and reliable\u00a0bus and light rail systems\u00a0throughout metro Phoenix.\u00a0 Transit riders can use Valley Metro’s custom online trip planner to make trip planning even easier!

Bike and Walk<\/strong>
\nBiking and walking to work is fun!\u00a0 It’s healthy for everyone!\u00a0 And you would never have to worry about a parking spot because the Phoenix Bioscience Core is equipped with bike cages close to the front entrance.<\/p>\n

Parking<\/strong>
\nParking permits are available for purchase through UA.\u00a0 Permits are offered on a space available basis for:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lot 10002 located on Van Buren near 7th<\/sup> street<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 PBC Parking Garage located on the PBC Campus<\/p>\n

Showers<\/strong>
\nShowers are available to employees that bike or walk to work.<\/p>\n
