Or maybe your sleep schedule has always been a little unpredictable. You probably know this already, but in case you haven&#8217;t gotten the memo &#8211; a regular sleep schedule can be a total game changer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having a bedtime can benefit. . .<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Your grades<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sleep plays a role in memory and learning. It helps your brain process the things you\u2019ve learned and store them away. Plus, when you\u2019re awake and alert you\u2019re more likely to focus in class.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Your mood<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just like all your learning is processed during sleep, your emotions are also processed and reviewed. This gives your brain time to analyze and react the right way. Also, chronic lack of sleep increases the chances of developing depression and anxiety.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Your time management<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having a regular bedtime means getting tired around the same time every night. This encourages you to get your tasks done while the sun is still up and stop procrastinating. This has been one of the greatest benefits of having a bedtime for me, personally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Your health<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consistent quality sleep has been proven to effectively lower stress levels. This in turn prevents acute and chronic health issues. Plus, when you&#8217;re rested you actually feel up to getting a workout in. Amiright? Better sleep can avert so many future health complications!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sleep is so important for your mental and physical health. Setting a bedtime for yourself can help you start this semester off on the right foot. If you feel like your grades, mood, time management and overall health could use a boost, this is an &#8220;easy&#8221; fix! (Ok, not that easy, but that&#8217;s why you have us health coaches to help you find your new routine or support you in time management techniques.)
