Reporting process and resources<\/h1>\n

Employees, students, or community members may consult with the <\/strong>Office of Title IX Compliance and Services (TIXCS) at TitleIX@nau.edu <\/a>or 928-523-5434<\/a> <\/strong>concerning any reports of possible sexual misconduct issues.\u00a0 Faculty and staff employees and university affiliates must report all disclosures using the Sexual Misconduct Report Form<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are approached by a student, faculty or staff employee, affiliate, or other person who believes that sexual harassment, assault, or violence has occurred, you should provide the person with the following information:<\/p>\n

  1. Refer students or employees to the appropriate resources<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Explain that you cannot guarantee confidentiality due to the University\u2019s concern for campus safety and that you will respect their privacy and only pass on information on a need-to-know basis. Employees are required to report any reports that might relate to a Title IX issue using the Sexual Misconduct Report Form<\/a>\u00a0and may consult with the Office of Title IX Compliance and Services (TIXCS) <\/strong>at TitleIX@nau.edu<\/a><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Explain that retaliation or retribution of ANY kind taken against an individual as a result of that person filing a complaint, requesting information, cooperating in an investigation, or otherwise participating in these reporting procedures is strictly prohibited.<\/li>\n
