But when it comes to universities, it is not uncommon for recruitment sessions and resources to be conducted exclusively in English. Up until 2017, this was the case for Northern Arizona University. Then, Nancy Navarro (<a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/franke\/management\/\">BS Management<\/a>, \u201908; <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/ed-psych\/human-relations-master-of-education\/\">MEd Human Relations<\/a>, \u201911), Assistant Director for Diversity Recruitment in <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/admissions\/\">University Admissions<\/a>, recognized this deficiency and set out to compensate. With the help of a like-minded team, she championed Spanish-speaking initiatives to support Hispanic and Latinx students and families.
