New NSF grant for restoring the culturally important Emory oak

Led by Assistant Professor Dr. Sara Souther, a new $1.5 million NSF grant will focus on research with multiple Tribal nations to restore Emory oak ecosystems across Arizona. New grant RaMPs up climate change research and careers with Indigenous perspectives

A new $3 million NSF grant will support recent graduates seeking research opportunities and career training in Southwest climate adaptation. Primarily from Indigenous and Hispanic/Latine backgrounds, fellows will work on a research project co-developed with Tribal communities, as well as engaging in mentoring, networking, and career development activities.
