Financial aid and LOUIE Financial Account refunds are directly deposited to your checking or savings account.<\/p>\n<p><strong>With direct deposit you can:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>expect fast, secure transfer of your money<\/li>\n<li>stop waiting for the mail to arrive to receive your check<\/li>\n<li>avoid a trip to the bank to cash or deposit that check<\/li>\n<li>avoid the 10 day wait period to have a check cancelled and reissued.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To sign up, change, or cancel direct deposit, log in to <\/strong><a title=\"LOUIE\" href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/louie\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LOUIE<\/strong><\/a><strong> and click direct deposit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Direct deposit details<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Be aware that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>requests for direct deposit remain in effect until you cancel your request on <a title=\"LOUIE\" href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/louie\/\" rel=\"noopener\">LOUIE<\/a><\/li>\n<li>you must update <a title=\"LOUIE\" href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/louie\/\" rel=\"noopener\">LOUIE<\/a> if you change your bank account<\/li>\n<li>your authorization affects LOUIE Financial Account deposits; Student and Departmental Account Services will deposit the balance of any financial aid and refunds due to you from Northern Arizona University after paying current charges on your account<\/li>\n<li>checks are not available for in-person pickup<\/li>\n<li>if you do not sign up for direct deposit, checks are mailed to your refund address so make sure to update your address on <a title=\"LOUIE\" href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/louie\/\" rel=\"noopener\">LOUIE<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Payroll and travel reimbursement direct deposit information is managed separately in LOUIE HR.<\/li>\n<li>To request a reissue of an unreceived refund check please complete a <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/sdas-cas\/refund-reissue-request\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Refund Reissue Request form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Foreign transactions<\/h2>\n<p>If you receive your LOUIE Financial Account refund via direct deposit at a US bank and then have the entire refund amount forwarded to a bank in another country, please advise Student and Departmental Account Services.<\/p>\n<p>There are new formatting requirements for these transactions that the university needs to follow.
