NAU Orchestra String Placement Auditions for Fall 2025 will be held in room 138 of the Performing and Fine Arts Building (building 37). More information is coming soon.<\/p>\n

Request your audition time by using the sign-up sheet posted on room 138 of the Performing and Fine Arts Building.<\/p>\n

Orchestra audition materials<\/h2>\n

To access the audition materials for this upcoming semester, please complete the following steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Self-enroll<\/a> in the Canvas course “Ensemble Placement Reference”.<\/li>\n
  2. Log into Canvas<\/a> by using your NAU ID.<\/li>\n
  3. On the Ensemble Placement Reference<\/a> home page, you can now view and download your instrument’s audition excerpt as a PDF.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Membership in the NAU Symphony and\/or NAU Chamber Orchestra requires an audition, EACH SEMESTER<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Symphony Orchestra, including strings\/winds\/brass\/percussion, rehearses Mon\/Wed from 3:30-6:00pm in the Performing Arts Center.<\/p>\n

    Chamber Orchestra, strings only, rehearses Fridays from 3:30-6:00pm in the Performing Arts Center<\/p>\n

    Both ensembles are open to music majors, minors, and non-majors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    There is only one audition for admittance into both ensembles.<\/p>\n

    Those who are only joining Chamber Orchestra should send an email request for other audition materials.
