- Think about what questions and topics are most interesting to you. For a great overview of how to turn your interests into research directions check out the Office for Undergraduate Research<\/a> page for new student researchers.<\/li>\n
- Talk to your professors about research. Even if they have no room in their labs for more students they may be able to suggest other faculty doing research that interests you.<\/li>\n

- The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation<\/a> (LSAMP) is designed to mentor and fund students from underrepresented backgrounds doing research across campus. - All ENV and ESS students are required to complete a substantial internship (ENV 408) or research (ENV 485) experience as part of your degree<\/a>. This means 3 credits of either type in a single semester. If you choose the research option, you can use the info on this page to find a faculty mentor to work with, and possibly even funding to support you during that work (see below!).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n \n \n
