The Visual Communication program at Northern Arizona University combines art, design, and technology in a hands-on studio environment. Students develop strong creative and technical skills while building a distinctive personal voice and professional portfolio.<\/p>\n

Our degree offers the opportunity to graduate with an emphasis in graphic design<\/strong> or animation<\/strong>. In small, studio-based classes, faculty work closely with students to guide creative development while building strategic approaches to visual communication.<\/p>\n

Students gain real-world experience through experiential learning opportunities such as the VisualDESIGNLab<\/strong> and Advanced Media Lab. Graduates leave with a highly competitive and individualized portfolio, prepared for a rapidly evolving creative field.<\/p>\n

Our alumni have gone on to work for companies including Yahoo, Citigroup, Motorola, Netflix, GoDaddy, Amazon Game Studios, Google, IBM, GAP, W.L. Gore, Nike, and L\u2019Or\u00e9al.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
