Our Sports & Adventure Media certificate program provides the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in multiple media platforms while covering professional, collegiate, high school, and outdoor adventure sports.<\/p>\n

Hone your skills while working in a professional environment in the School of Communication\u2019s Media Innovation Center. You can anchor and produce live sports segments for our award-winning local newscast NAZ Today, broadcast live local sporting events and host sports talk radio shows for KJACK Radio, and write sports recaps and profiles for The Lumberjack newspaper. Previous students have covered numerous high-profile events, including the Super Bowl, NCAA men\u2019s basketball Final Four, the NBA, Major League Baseball, and NASCAR championship weekend.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0NAU sports media students have won numerous national awards, including multiple top-10 finishes in the prestigious Jim Nantz Award honoring the nation\u2019s top college sportscasters, a regional Emmy first-place award, and several first-place awards in the BEA Festival of Media Arts.<\/p>\n\n
