Examples of crisis include loss of hours at work, housing emergency, a house fire, a death in the family, weather disaster or other significant events.<\/p>\n<p>Funds do not need to be paid back. Funds may count as income and may be subject to federal or state taxes. Employees are eligible for one ELF assistance no more than once every four years. The maximum amount to be provided is $250.<\/p>\n<p>Your application will be reviewed within 5 business days from the day it is submitted. Checks will be available for pick up between 7-14 days from application date.
