A University employee using personal aircraft on University business and within the course and scope of his\/her authorized University duties is provided aircraft liability coverage on a secondary basis through the Department of Administration,\u00a0Risk Management Division<\/a>\u00a0under\u00a0Arizona revised Statutes \u00a741-621<\/a>\u00a0et seq. once his\/her\u00a0Pilot Application<\/a>\u00a0has been approved by the State.<\/p>\n In addition to the State\u2019s\u00a0Minimum Pilot Qualification<\/a>\u00a0requirements and\u00a0Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-107.D<\/a>, State Risk Management requires payment through an annual assessment to the University for Aircraft Liability Insurance.\u00a0 The insurance charge covers any number of flights during the fiscal year.\u00a0 University departments or colleges are responsible for payment of the assessment.\u00a0 Payment of the insurance assessment does not waive or replace the mandatory minimum $1,000,000 of primary aircraft liability coverage by the employee.\u00a0 No coverage for damage or loss to employee-owned aircraft is provided by Northern Arizona University or the State Risk Management.<\/p>\n
