Please limit the narrative description of the proposed work to two (2) pages (12 point font, 1 inch margins) utilizing the format listed below. It is critical that the narrative be written in a manner so that someone outside your field will be able to understand the importance, approach, and follow-on funding plan of the project.<\/p>\n

  1. Research Question\/Hypothesis:<\/strong> Statement of the problem to be investigated.<\/li>\n
  2. Expertise:<\/strong> Give a brief description of your own work in this area of investigation.<\/li>\n
  3. Approach:<\/strong> Methods of study to be used.<\/li>\n
  4. Expected Research Products:<\/strong> Describe how the proposed work will enable completion of research products such as a planned application to an external funding agency (indicating as specifically as possible the funding opportunity and the estimated direct costs), development of patentable\/licensable technology, a peer-reviewed publication or conference presentation.<\/li>\n
  5. Budget Justification:<\/strong> Provide a brief summary of the requested funds and what they will be applied toward.<\/li>\n
  6. Bibliography\/Literature Citations<\/strong> \u2013 do not count as part of the page limitation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
