Funding your research and scholarly work
There are many sources of funding available to support your research, both external (outside of NAU) and intramural (within NAU).
External funding opportunities
The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) is the university’s centralized office responsible for authorizing extramural funding proposals submitted to sponsors, negotiating with sponsors, and accepting and managing awards.
Visit the OSP website to learn more about external funding opportunities through GrantForward as well as other federal, state, and private funding sources, including limited submission opportunities.
Intramural funding opportunities
The university’s Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) provides several grant opportunities for faculty, staff, and even students participating in research and scholarly activity. There are also funding programs available to researchers to support the development of external grant proposals.
