The parity bits are incorporated as part of the message to encrypt and use error correction schemes to mitigate the noise which occurs from the PUFs during these keyless encryption protocols. During the decryption cycles, the message can be decrypted on the client side using simple error correction mechanisms reading the parity bits. The encryption protocol is a block cipher mixing parity bits and plaintext; in this way, the opponents cannot have separate access to the cipher text resulting from the plaintext and the parity bits.
