Other objectives include supporting research and scholarly projects for which outside funding is not available and facilitating contact with representatives of partner companies who may be unwilling or unable to travel to NAU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"eligibility\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligibility criteria are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Faculty members with the rank of instructor or above and research professional staff are eligible to apply. Junior faculty are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/li><li>Each grant is awarded for a single trip.<\/li><li>A member of the NAU Innovations team will accompany the NAU researcher on the trip to meet with potential industry partners.<\/li><li>A trip may include one or more inventors meeting with the company, in addition to an NAU Innovations representative.<\/li><li>Travel fund grants cannot be used for academic conferences, conference fees, or salaries.<\/li><li>Other exclusions and restrictions may apply.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how\"><strong>How to apply for a travel fund grant<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started, download and complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/research\/travel-fund-application\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"3699\">travel fund application<\/a>&nbsp;form.
