The intent of this grant program is to invest into efforts that seed funding of extramural sponsored programs or that bridges a gap in extramural support in order to increase the competitiveness of the PI for further external funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General Rules for Intramural Funding Opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This program is subject to overarching rules and guidelines in place for all intramural programs. A summary of these rules may be found under the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/research\/research-resources-opportunities\/impact-opportunities\/intramural-funding\/intramural-terms-conditions\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2001\">General Rules for Intramural Funding Opportunities<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants to this program must meet all eligibility requirements listed in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/research\/research-resources-opportunities\/impact-opportunities\/intramural-funding\/intramural-terms-conditions\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2001\">General Rules for Intramural Funding Opportunities<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the following restrictions also apply to this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Faculty members working under active start-up packages are not eligible to apply (as PIs or co-PIs) to this program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No more than one support grant may be awarded to a faculty member in a 12-month period (as PI or co-PI).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\t\t<script src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/nau-marketing-2021\/js\/accordion.js\"><\/script>\n\n\t\t<div class=\"accordion accordion-flush my-5\">\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"collapse-Funding-detail-1-header\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-Funding-detail-1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-Funding-detail-1\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tFunding detail \t\t\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"collapse-Funding-detail-1\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse \" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"collapse-Funding-detail-1-header\" style=\"\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Award information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Faculty Research and Creative Activity Support Grant applicants may request up to $10,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award period<\/strong><br \/>\nFunds are awarded for a 12-month period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligible uses of award funds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Award funds must be used according to the requirements set forth in the \u201cAllowable and Unallowable Costs\u201d section of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/research\/research-resources-opportunities\/impact-opportunities\/intramural-funding\/intramural-terms-conditions\/\">General Rules for Intramural Funding Opportunities<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The following program specific rules also apply.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"collapse-When-to-apply2-header\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-When-to-apply2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-When-to-apply2\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWhen to apply\t\t\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"collapse-When-to-apply2\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse \" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"collapse-When-to-apply2-header\" style=\"\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Applications for Faculty Research and Creative Activity Support Grants will be considered once per year.
