{"id":286,"date":"2018-06-27T04:31:33","date_gmt":"2018-06-27T11:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/registrar\/ferpastandsfor\/"},"modified":"2018-11-28T22:56:01","modified_gmt":"2018-11-28T22:56:01","slug":"ferpastandsfor","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/registrar\/ferpastandsfor\/","title":{"rendered":"What FERPA Stands For"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>What FERPA stands for<\/h1>\n<p>FERPA stands for the <strong>F<\/strong>amily <strong>E<\/strong>ducational <strong>R<\/strong>ights and <strong>P<\/strong>rivacy <strong>A<\/strong>ct, which is a federal law passed in 1974. \u00a0It is also called the <strong>Buckley Amendment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong>FERPA<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students have the right to inspect and review their education records.
