Integrity entails a firm adherence to a set of values, and the values most essential to an academic community are grounded in honesty with respect to all intellectual efforts of oneself and others.&nbsp;<strong>NAU expects every student to firmly adhere to a strong ethical code of academic integrity in all their scholarly pursuits.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage all NAU campus community members to read and understand our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www9.nau.edu\/policies\/Client\/Details\/691?whoIsLooking=Students&amp;pertainsTo=All&amp;sortDirection=Ascending&amp;page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Academic Integrity Policy<\/a>&nbsp;to learn about academic integrity, and any processes involved when academic integrity violations occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a full suite of resources for students, faculty, and University Hearing Board membership to assist in upholding the highest academic integrity standards at NAU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resources<\/h2>\n\n\n<section         class=\"nau-article-block-simple-color-text-photo bg-monsoon  hasLink\">\n    \n\n    \n        <hr role=\"none\" class=\"hr-clearspace-20 d-none-md\">\n\n        <h3>Resources for students<\/h3>        <div class=\"subheader\">Canvas LMS<\/div>        <p>NAU\u2019s academic integrity online workshop for students is housed in our\u00a0Canvas LMS (learning management system). We\u2019ve designed this online workshop using Canvas\u2019s \u201cLearning Module\u201d tool, because it\u2019s a great way to break down complicated information into smaller chunks. Students can also use it as a reference tool when they have integrity-related questions throughout their time at NAU.<\/p>\n<p>All students are\u00a0auto-enrolled in the student-facing shell on an ongoing basis. The membership of the Hearing Board is made up of faculty and student representatives from each academic college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Operations provides training. Email&nbsp;us if you have been newly assigned to hearing board duty for your department. Please start with a thorough reading of NAU\u2019s&nbsp;Academic Integrity policy&nbsp;and then read through the Hearing Board processes and procedures in Administrative Resources. <a href=\"https:\/\/ac.nau.edu\/lms-apps\/self-enroll\/450904\">Self-enroll<\/a> in the Preview: Academic Integrity @NAU for Students module for an active review of the policy information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hearing and processes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The University Academic Integrity Hearing Board has developed&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/provost\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/318\/2024\/09\/Academic-Integrity-Hearing-Board-Process-2024.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">formal processes and procedures<\/a>&nbsp;to accompany the official NAU policy.
