All faculty and staff have access to add information about the degrees they have earned in PeopleSoft. Degree information that is added must be verified and, if needed, corrected.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administrative faculty who have faculty reporting to them will automatically receive access to add, update, or verify degrees via the system-assigned role NAU_LS HR Chair Degree Verify.<\/li>\n<li>For some associate deans and others who do not have direct faculty reports, the role <em>NAU_HR Provost Degree Rvw<\/em> is available via the ePASS system. The degree must be selected from the list of allowable values.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>Note: If the degree earned is not in the search, contact the provost\u2019s office.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Year<em>: <\/em><\/strong>Select the year the degree was earned from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Highest degree earned<em>: <\/em><\/strong>Check this box if the degree being entered is the highest degree earned. If there is another degree that is marked as the highest degree earned, the box on that degree will be unchecked automatically.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Terminal degree<em>: <\/em><\/strong>If a terminal degree was selected for \u2018Degree,\u2019 this checkbox will automatically check. When a degree is considered terminal, it means that it is the uppermost degree awarded in a given field.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Degree discipline<em>: <\/em><\/strong>Enter the degree discipline.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Granting institution<\/strong>: Use the search to find the institution where you earned your degree.<\/li>\n<li>If the institution is not found in the institution search, select the checkbox for \u2018The granting institution for my degree cannot be found.\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other institution<em>: <\/em><\/strong>Enter the institution name.<\/li>\n<li><strong>City<em>: <\/em><\/strong>Enter the city of the granting institution.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Country<em>: <\/em><\/strong>Enter USA or use the search to find another country.<\/li>\n<li><strong>State<em>: <\/em><\/strong>With country selected, use the search to find the state.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Degree dissertation<em>:<\/em><\/strong> Enter dissertation information, if relevant.<\/li>\n<li>To attach transcripts to the degree, select the <strong>Upload <\/strong>icon.\n<ul>\n<li>A pop-up will display. Select the <strong>Browse <\/strong>button to access your files and select the correct document. The document name will then appear in the field.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Upload <\/strong>to attach the document.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><em>Note: Only the following file types are permitted: DOC, DOCX, GIF, JPEG, JPG, PDF, TIF, TIFF, XLS, XLSX.
