<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For exams that are not on the list above, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thomas Edison Credit-By-Examination Program (TECEP)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students complete the PLA petition with two items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verification of completion of the exam, preferably directly from the exam body<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full descriptions of the exam, including the learning outcomes assessed, and body accrediting or standardizing the exam.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All exams in this category are evaluated as Prior Learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important considerations for Credit By Exam include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Credit cannot duplicate credit already earned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Examinations may not be repeated more than twice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The same examination cannot be retaken within one year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only up to 60 units of AP, IB, CIE, Challenge, CLEP, and DSST credit may be assigned to a transcript.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some departments limit which courses may be challenged through examination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credit awarded through examination becomes part of the student&#8217;s academic record.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p
